All on Blu Ray. I actually traded in the DVD of French Connection to turnaround and pick up the Blu Ray of the same movie.

You haven't seen either of these yet? They're hilarious. My two favourite MP films. The Death scene in Meaning of Life might be my favourite MP sketch ever.

Default "Defending Your Life" - funny and sweet :)

I just ordered "Defending Your Life" (1991), a romantic comedy/fantasy film starring Meryl Streep and written, directed by, and co-starring comedian Albert Brooks.

I watched the movie on YouTube, where you can watch the whole thing for free (!!), and I laughed so much that I really wanted to have the actual DVD so I could play it on the TV for my family members. The movie makes me start to laugh just thinking about it.

I give "Defending Your Life" 10/10 for quirky humor and many moments that are hilarious to me, all contained within a sweet story that manages to be light, profound, fresh, and as old as humanity, all at the same time.

Below is one of my favorite segments of the movie. Beginning at minute 2:00 will explain what is going on, and then at 3:00 is where I start chuckling uncontrollably, because I know what the characters are going to say:

Ha ha ha! "What the hell is this?" "Be there in a moment, Mumsy!" "What the hell is going on here?!?"

i'm crazy about spaghetti horror and weirdo Jap stuff

but shop near my house doesn't bring in that many of those

just only got Inferno and Bird with the Crystal Plummage (Dario Argento)

and a gory semi-porn weirdo body horror called Samurai Girl (detachable boobs)

Just watched Ken Russel's 'The Devils' uncut. Gorgeous film. I went in it only wanting an extremely blasphemous grindhouse time film with light touches of surrealism. What I got was an extremely intelligent well written social commentary on the politics of the Catholic religion, separation of church and state, and sexual repression with heavy touches of surrealism(even if the story itself was biographical).

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.
Al Pacino = God

I think last movies my family bought were Black Swan and Tangled. I know, they're both so alike.
