Imagine the Avengers taking on the Justice League and that's why.

The one DC argument that is actually legitimate is the idea that they focus very heavily on Superman/Batman, but most comic companies do this. Marvel does it with Captain America/Wolverine/Spider-Man. Even the valid criticisms are rather porous.

Bags were a day late but spent two hours yesterday bagging apparently almost 100 comics and barely had enough bags and boards. Watched Tenchi while doing it and was one of the more relaxing and satisfying times I've had in a while. Now I'm watching more Tenchi and reading Spider-Man/Deadpool while being sad that I only have the first nine issues and two of them are filler. And I have the first five issues of Mockingbird... sans issue #4. Also missing issues from Spider-Woman's last two series. I'm thinking I need to go on My Comic Shop and Midtown Comics and see about filling some gaps in my collection

I don't care what anyone says. Omnibuses might look nice on your shelf and trades might be a cheap way to collect but nothing feels as friendly in your hands as a single issue.

Not the whole thing, but enough to know that it's awesome.

I also picked this up:

What a beautiful journey it's been

This is the way most people should end their coversations, but especially those about comics.

Like for example, I don’t care for the Mary Jane relationship with Spider-Man. Don’t care for it. But, I’m not going to go out of my way and try to ruin it for those that do like it.

You should check out the rest. It's consistently fantastic. Like, Boomerang and Captain Boomerang are essentially the same character but Boomerang in Superior Foes is as good as either character are going to get and he's like crack. The same writer (Nick Spencer) is actually now writing Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man and Boomerang are now roommates and possibly becoming besties and I'm all about the blossoming bromance. Apparently Spencer really ****ing loves writing Boomerang and refuses to stop regardless of whether or not he should. Peter Parker becoming buds with douchebags (whether it be Boomerang in Amazing Spider-Man or Deadpool in Spider-Man/Deadpool) is just delightful.

I really need to read more of Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol cause what I read was as great as Morrison ever is, but the Young Animal imprint has some good ****. I read Shade, the Changing Girl a little while ago and it was fantastic.

I feel like the perfect stuff for a beginner is older, crossover titles. Unless they just want to follow a certain character. If it’s the latter though I don’t think the person would really be asking for recommendations.

Lol, that sounds awesome. I've gotta finish it sometime. My personal fave was Shocker.

I actually haven't read much of Shade. Pretty much just the Milk Wars issue (which was gloriously ****ing weird).
