I think it's a great Sci-Fi/Horror flick. Fishburne and Neil were perfect in their roles.

Miller: What happened to your eyes?
Weir: Where we're going, you won't need eyes to see.

Anderson really showed off the influence Scott and Cameron had on him in this movie.

My skin crawls just thinking about that part.

I think the brief flashes of the audio and video from the original crew is some of the scariest shit I've ever seen in a movie.

I completely agree. It's so freaky hearing someone warn others in latin while everyone else in the background is being butchered.

The creepiest video segement for me is from 'Prince Of Darkness'. There is no explanation for this and the use of video against Carpenters immaculate framing is extremely unnerving.

I'm not really into gangster movies (something about people getting beat to death with baseball bats)

Sci-Fi:
1. Casshern
2. Event Horizon
3. Sphere
4. Terminator 2
5. The Fifth Element

Casshern really? It has some brilliant visual ideas but it's just a damn mess. Unfocused and cluttered. I even gave it a second viewing to convince my doubting self. It was worse on the second viewing

lol I can't really argue with it being unfocused and cluttered. I just think it's visually stunning with great music and a SUPER depressing storyline. I chalked up all the plot holes to the language barrier

Most of the movies I was going to list have already been listed, but these three haven't

Sci-Fi:

Equilibrium
City of Lost Children

Gangster:

Rise of the Foot Solider

*the reason I made City of Lost Children bold is because I think it is one of the best movies of the '90's and that everyone should see at least once in their life, it is subtitled.
