Very happy to see Carl growing into the disturbed, mature-beyond-his-years zombie killer I so loved and adored in the books. His transformation in the book series is what made him one of my all time favorite characters. Seasons one and two just didn't do his character justice.

I can't believe...

Spoiler for spoiler:
...that they just killed off T-Dog like that. After keeping him around in the background all through season 2 I assumed there was going to be some reason he was still on the show, like maybe there was a big showdown with Merle brewing. But nope, he was just bumped off abruptly for no good reason. Maybe the group is only allowed to include one bald black man at a time.

So...
Spoiler for spoiler:
Seriously, poor T! I saw it coming, like "LOOK BEHIND YOU T!! NO!!!!!" But he really had one of the best going outs. That double clothesline into the wall was well done. T does what I imagined one would do if put in the situation of being almost dead but friends/loved ones need you so you make that one important move that saves them. That was like that. At first I thought he was going to toss himself at them, but I should have known he was going to try to mess them up... I think he coulda taken those few out just knockin them in the face, but yeah, that was decent. Should have been more in the series for T, but like you say Jans, they picked up a new bald black man...

Anyone else cheer when Lori officially is removed from the picture? I at least yelled "Finally!!"

This past show actually had me tearing up a bit. I liked:

Spoiler for .:
the little monologue Lori did at the end there. She knew she was going to die, and I think she was trying to absolve Carl of any guilty feelings he might have about how he treated her at the end. Poor Rick though. Unfortunately, he doesn't get the same absolution. And T-Dog...good lord. It was so sad to see him die, but like you said d00d...what an epic way to go. That was some good old fashioned zombie mayhem right there, straight from the Romero/Savini playbook. Awesome.

Probably the most emotionally draining episode of the series so far. Lori's death in the books was completely shocking, but I gotta say, the show death, while not quite as unexpected, was just as terrible, if not more so really.

Anyone else frustrated with Andrea? It seems like it wouldn't take a rocket scientist to figure out something ain't quite right with the Governer. :/

And to any of my fellow Walking Dead comic book readers...did y'all catch it when the Governor told Andrea it was just him and his daughter left? Really can't wait to see how that goes.

I flat out cried and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Unbelievably good.

Maybe they were going with the horror movie stereotype.
Don't worry, they killed a white chick to balance it out. Equality 2012.

There's a horror movie stereotype about bald black men?

Spoiler for spoilers:
I'm surprised Lori died so suddenly, I figured they were setting that up for either the mid season finale or the end season finale. I also figured it was going to be more like how it was in the comics, get a chance for the Governor to get into contact with the prison and get that thread going. Still I officially absolve this series from any of the mean things I said about it during season 2. My faith in it is restored and it is a show I will start to follow more closely.

I haven't read the comics, but thought it was handled well here. What I didn't like is switching the scenes between all that prison mayhem and the more quiet, talky scenes with the Governor. It somewhat killed the emotional intensity for me.

Also, I watched the first two seasons at once, back-to-back episodes, treating it like a really, really, really long movie...and I loved it that way. Problem with weakly episodes for me is that I tend to lose the feel of the story. But, that's my problem, not show's. I still like it and the season is only beginning.
