Personally, I had mixed to positive feelings about the movie, but if it's the worst movie you've ever seen you must only see good movies.
Even in the Alien series it's not nearly the worst *cough*Alien vs. Predator*cough*.

Robot didn't do a c-section. Robot did abdominal surgery or whatever because the machine wasn't designed for a woman. 'Cuz future medicine was not unisex compatible apparently!

I don't recall apologizing! I was merely pointing out that I accept we disagree.

I want to hate it and I most definitely hate it. Better?

This IMDB review sums it up nicely, too.

Within minutes of touching down (conveniently beside the only 'man-made' structures on the planet, a'la 1960s Star Trek) the 'scientists' are yanking off their helmets, on the basis of 'it seems fine to me', dipping their fingers into strange organic ooze, and lugging a severed alien head back to an unquarantined spaceship in a sandwich bag
I guess I can say I'm grateful then, if this movie isn't really near the worst movie ever, according you guys.

I am an expert at coming up with ridiculous excuses for why dumb things happen in movies. They landed near that structure because it's the future and their ship scanned the planet. The people on the trip are pretty dumb because who would be stupid enough to go on this mission in the first place? The idiot scientists, that's who. Plus some encouragement from the android dude since he wanted them to mess with the goo in the first place. I can go on and on...just try me on the Terminator series.

OK: When Arnold melted himself down at the end of T2—thereby preventing the creation of Skynet and eliminating the situation of Reese ever coming back in time and boning Sarah—why didn't John Connor cease to exist? This has bugged me about that movie since it first came out.

Ok I could really get into this, but I will try to keep it short. If we are going with the (completely freaking horrible) T3 timeline, then they didn't prevent the creation of Skynet. They just postponed it.

If we are ignoring T3 (which I like to do since it was so incredibly bad) then T1 and T2 are the only ones that matter and we can get into the interesting stuff.

Sensible explanation:

John Connor is just a name. A symbol to get through the war. Whatever kid Sarah had was gonna be named John, who's to say she didn't bone some dude in a gas station and then named him John? Then Kyle shows up and does the job instead. Different "John" but he was raised thinking he was going to be the leader of the resistance...so in essence, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy. Skynet would need no explanation because T2 was the end (eff you T3) and they prevented Judgement Day. Why didn't that John just disappear once Arnie got melted? Alternate realities. Time is a flat circle.

Ridiculous explanation:

Kyle was from the future but the sperm used to impregnate Sarah was made in "this" time (as in, he created that baby butter post time travel), so it's specific to this timeline therefore Kyle being from the future doesn't mean a thing.

I love Adam Sandler, but that guy has put out some real bombers lately. The film you mentioned being one of them.

Rock of Ages? Oh, now that was hard to watch. I'm a fan of Tom Cruise, but that really stunk.

Tom Hardy put out a movie that the fiance and I rented a few days ago called Locke. It was like Phonebooth with Colin Farrell, but only it was Tom Hardy driving in a car the entire movie talking to his wife and some older woman he knocked up, and some dudes from the construction company he sort of ran. It was pretty boring...

You're using IMDB to argue that Prometheus is bad....the same site where 362,462 users have congregated to give the movie a score of 7.1/10, which is quite good for that site.

:/

If you listen to movie critics, the one that make a living to be paid to review a movie, and give it a base score or summary...you're not the smartest bulb in the box. Critics are morons. I never base seeing a movie off of what those oh so wise ones say. I see it because I want to see it. Period.

There's a lot of movies that critics tore apart that I watched, all of which turned out being far better and enjoyable than what those 'professionals' said. They're critics. They get paid to say whatever they say, even the ones doing it based on what they thought of the movie. It's publicity.

Was this a response to me? IMDB scores are calculated by votes from regular old movie fans like me or you, critics have nothing to do with it.

I put far more weight in an IMDB score than any critic reviews.
