Did you know that Ann Rice was pissed that Cruise was cast (because he was just a pretty boy back then), but after seeing his performance she took out a full page ad in the LA Times apologizing for her hesitance and heaping praise on him.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

I don't get why they cast Antonio Banderas as Armand though. He was supposed to be like a 15-year-old kid vampire. It was a big part of his aesthetic and personality.

I did yes. She said "Cruise is no more my Lestat than Edward G Robinson!" He did well though. Mind you, Stuart Townsend was better, I felt, in the follow-up.

Was he? It's so long now since I read it, I can't remember. What a pity they never optioned it for a TV series. That would have been amazing, and given the interest in vampires on TV, I often wonder why the hell not?

Too bad he bet on the wrong pony and got stuck with an over-the-hill anorexic chick instead of still foxy Jennifer Aniston.

Angelina Jolie was always and will always be hotter than Jennifer Aniston.

No. She looks like bone structure with no flesh to go along with it. Jennifer Aniston only gets hotter as she gets older.
