Yeah I played it a couple years ago. Got pretty far, but never completed it. I liked some things about it, but damn, it also felt like it needed some more work. The combat system had some neat ideas, but it felt pretty broken at times. The loading screens between rooms ended up driving me mad because I got stuck a lot late in the game, backtracking all over the place, looking for something to do.

It's definitely one of the many PS2 beat-em-ups with a bunch of odd design choices that put a lot of people off, like God Hand, Beat Down: Fists of Vengeance, Urban Reign, The Bouncer, etc. I love 'em all anyway, though.

I've played all of those at least a little. I even completed Beatdown many years ago. So many flaws in that game, but I had fun kicking butt and hiding from the police. Buy a new suit and suddenly the cops can't see you. Makes sense to me.
