yeah, but he was sooo good live. i just cant get my head round why his new album released less than 4 months after it, is so shite? it really has left me speechless. i would still go see him. just never buy an album of his again, ever again. +81 if you like that guy check out the song, maybe its your style. i just never liked it. and thankyou, if you ever need any recommendations! just ask, wont be a problem at all.

Yeah that album isn't too good haha. His older albums are pretty good but his ISOS albums are fantastic. Especially #7

the perfect (old skool) playlist?
(i adopted a new colour, is it hurting anyones eyes? cos its fine on my end.)
im going to put together a playlist of my favourite songs which are general Electronica.
i would like replys & opinions on it how i could improve, anything important ive missed, something shite been added in.
im not neccesarily placing tunes together that 'fit' its all just thrown in and rumbled about, and in no particular order really.

Track Number One.
how couldnt i start an entry about the perfect playlist without starting with a very famous tune. no matter how famous Born Slippy becomes, or how much its played. it will always have an Underworld shaped place in my heart. although this is one of the most famous tunes in trance, its one of the most underplayed these days, in its prime i imagine it was played in massive doses in clubs. since my clubbing days began, i have not heard Born Slippy on one clubs playlist, which is a shame. i dont think Underworlds legacy will ever die. ever. i sincerely hope it doesnt die, its a belter of a tune, one of those ones thats soo relaxing, but at the same time.. you could go a good dance to it. i think if this came on in a club over here, the place would errupt. i hope people feel the same way about this tune as i do. it really deserves it. some may know it from a famous film Trainspotting I could rhyme off most words to this i know it so well. i literally know it beat for beat.

Track Number Two.
next comes a tune which i rediscovered a small while ago, it was long forgotten, but when i heard Lizard, i remembered how amence a tune it was, once the wait of this song is over.. it truely is amazing. Mauro Picotto is one of my favourite artists, and he genuinely has done a good fucking job on this one! the heavy basslines are simply to die for. the beat from it is amazing. the atmosphere this single song creates, it defeats me. i have no idea how such a tune can make such an atmosphere. same for this as with Born Slippy, Lizard doesnt appear on many playlists at all, which is unfortunate.. as its the kind of song that would just slip your mind, the kind you dont remember the name of. which is a real damn shame

Track Number Three.
also one of my favourites, hadnt discovered the name of it until Gatecrashers Trance Anthems 1993-2009 came out, which was bad on my end. pretty legendary tune all the same, by far one of Tiestos best remix's, it makes me much more proud of him than Kaleidoscope does (im not even highlighting that album. its not worthy of it.) anyways, Tiesto successfully remixed Conjoure One's song, Tears from the moon excuse the bad quality of video. youtube can only do so much. anyways i dont really know what it is about this tune, first time i heard it i was in the car driving my way down to Alton Towers, everything was so peaceful, everyone was sleeping cept the driver.. and i just sat listening to it off my iPod, and i instantly loved it, i have no idea how it sneaked on my ipod without a name of artist but it did, and i fell in love with Track 7 haha!

Track Number Four.
I have decided to remove Wolfgang Gartner's Wolfgangs 5th Symphony from Track #4, this is mainly because ive changed the playlist to an old skool one.
anyways, on to the new Track #4.
This song has a high rating from me, i mostly like it cause it has an unusual piano intro, Robert Miles was also a musician, a piano player, so no doubt he done the piano sections of Children (dream version) himself, and it wasn't stimulated through a computer, a reason why I like this track even more. It was highly popular in its prime reaching #2 on UK charts. Its a very chillout song, but has amazing beats throughout. I find it very original. Its the kind of song which will either make you relax etc, or have a wee dance. Great song.

Track Number Five.
this song is the last for now, but i'll be doing another entry with 5 more tunes on it. this song is nearly older than myself (made in 1995) and have known it for a long time. i cant remember the first time ever hearing it, i can just remember always knowing it. its a well known song, and im sure some people out of electronica know it. if your an electronica fan and dont know, i suggest you bow your head in shame. anyways the old tune is Artemesia, and the song is Bit's and Pieces its not necessarily the best made tune or the best tune for that matter, but it has something there which makes it special. the good parts of it are astounding, and the rest is average.. it just has something which attracts people to it, and forces itself upon you until you love it.

ive realised through an overview of this short (so far) playlist, that most are old skool, maybe old skool just has the most memorable tunes. or maybe im unconciously addicted to it. probably both.
anyways, thats a few of my favourite tunes, ill give a more diverse range of electronica on my next one. i promise, maybe this could be my perfect old skool playlist?

I am a huge Underworld fan but I think that Born Slippy's success was probably one of the worst things to happen to the band as it gives a false ideal of the band when they encompass Techno, Dance, Ambient and dare I say it? Prog in their music. Easily one of the best Electronic acts of the last 15 years.

I was obsessed with this song when I was young, I have always had a soft spot for the UK electronic scene. Tiesto in particular is one of my favourites. What do you think of his song 'Battleship Grey'?

I hear so much about Born Slippy but since I'm a trance fanatic I'm slightly more fond of the Yves Deruyter remix. Children is an absolute classic! The Inpetto vs. Rüt Orchestral Rework is a great version where they use classical elements. It almost sounds Christmas-ey to me haha

Yeah it isn't very representative of them, nevertheless by far one of the most popular songs since it was released (: I agree with the bolded statement

same, it's one of those songs that I had always known and never knew the name of from when I was pretty young (: It'll always be a favourite of mines, I'm glad you like it

edit: I just downloaded In My Memory, as i was curious about the song, I really like it, and it's only my first listen, on my second, I'll love it

Children.. It's a pretty predictable choice, but a good one! YOU'VE NEVER HEARD BORN SLIPPY? I'm really shocked btw. You need to hear it. Great song, always will be
