I think De Stijl is their best work - with Elephant being the most accessible. Don't know about all this hate I'm seeing for GBMS, thought it was a good album and Icky Thump also a pretty damn good album. One of the things that is beginning to plague the Stripes is the over-hype-back-lash phenomenon. Where critics and people talk about them so much that people begin to turn on them - like it's their fault. When you see someone comment negatively on their music and then their justification is: "BEcause the MEdIAA likes it SO ooo Much" - it's an immature attitude on the part of that listener.

Good album, but not their best by any stretch of the imagination.

Is your imagination that bad? I can come up with a few reasons why people would think its their best.

@ Crowe - With it being no mark on my opinion, why do you think de stijl is their best work?

provided you're still around, if you like that song have you tried "little ghost" "I'm lonly (but I ain't that lonly yet)" "Hotel Yorba" or "Its true that we love one another."
