If there's one thing King Of Limbs isn't, it's a rock album.

You make some valid points no doubt. I think we have different idea's of pop, i'm looking at it from a consumer, pop music is selling sex to children, or subtle racism to southern people ()

Pop music is usually over-produced, written by ghost writers, and more dance-oriented. Maybe i'm just looking at it on the surface..

Muse sounds like early bad radiohead to me, if they stuck with "creep" and never progressed they're sound.
I never really listened to Pablo Honey. Were Radiohead very theatrical/proggy to begin with?

No, they were just angsty and full of hyperbolic sentiment, which I guess are characteristics you could attribute to Muse to a degree.

If anything, Pablo Honey is quite grunge I'd say.

Imo, Pablo Honey is very underrated. Maybe the hype over Creep made people tired of it, although the other tracks are quite interesting. It should be checked out anyway.

I second that. There's not an ounce of rock here. In Rainbows and HttT, on the other hand, had some rock to speak of.

Yes! I always thought Pablo Honey was way underrated, especially on these boards.

It's OK, there's not much to really differentiate it from a lot of other bands of the time though.

Agree, some songs like Blow Out, You or Thinking about you are pretty good.

I think it's good. Really different from a lot of there other work. Much more electronic based. Probobably one of the least accessible albums to get into by them. I heard a rumor that there might also be a part 2 to this album.

You and Blowout are pretty good, and the rest are average. It's a decent album however, and the only reason it gets so much hate is because the rest of the bands work is so much better.
