I haven't listened to the album in full, yet, only tidbits of it on Hit 97 and Power 105.1.
Honestly, though, I think it's really weird that everyone is trying to criticize Kanye for being egotistical.
Aside from the fact that he's known for being conceited, have any of you LISTENED to what else is out in the hip-hop scene right now?
It's ALL about having more money, more power, more ladies, more everything! You have to set that aspect aside and listen to the music, first.

I'm not a fan of Kanye as a person but his music has always hit the right note for me, so I'm excited to see what has leaked.

There are loads of rappers who make Hip-Hop that isn't all about women, power and money though.

It's usually the underground hip hop artists that don't sing about that.

Plenty of underground artists only talk about that stuff.

I meant the **** that's popular in the scene. I'm saying that people are acting like he's the only one, when so many other rappers are doing that.
I feel like ya gotta set that aside and look at the music and listen to his lyrics, you can't judge it by the fact that he's talking too much about himself.

Great album and a logical progression from MBDTF. Feels just as fresh as that album did, if a little bit more limited in scope and scale. 5 stars from me.

I really do not think it has a 'death grips feel' at all. There are a couple tracks that sound similar to a couple death grips tracks but that doesn't mean yeezus sounds anything like the money store or no love deep web. I also don't understand people so adamantly declaring it isn't a 'dancey' album. As of right now Black Skinhead is my favorite song on the album and I think it's mixture of dark intensity and dancehall beats creates a new, interesting, and fun sound. My other favorite track would have to be Bound 2, but that's just because I'm a huge fan of his earlier work, and I didn't think we'd ever get to hear a kanye song like that again. Really do not care much for On Sight or I am a God, but I can see the latter growing on me. Overall I give it four stars, and I'll say on a good day it can beat out Long Live Asap for the best rap album of the year thus far.

Finally, someone that loves Bound 2 as much as I do!

Agreed. That soul sample is pretty nice.
