"Beat it" is one of his best songs, and the music video is one of the greatest of all times.

I can see why people would get tired of hearing about him, but i'm still not getting why this would suddenly make you unable to listen to his music.

Why? I agree that the media has had a field day with MJ's death but I still listen to his music often and enjoy it as much as ever.

I dunno, for me it's kinda like boredom by association... the minute I hear a song by him, I am reminded of all the media stuff still circulation and it instantly turns me off... I dunno, maybe its just me, I have been known to make odd conclusions at times... hehehe....

I understand thinking of everything associated with him. But it honestly shouldn't change your opinion of his music. When I hear his music, I think about his death. The loss. The fact that none of his family gets privacy. It's all very sad, really. And it's saddening to hear that you're allowing this to affect your listening in a negative way, as opposed to a positive one.

I have exactly two songs by the man: Beat It, and Billie Jean

They're really not all bad but he is definitely not my style.

Michael Jackson doesn't have a specific style. You just gotta love him for him.

Listen to more. [[[= Please?

Just to get a feel for some of his other music.

Maybe... I actually prefer his stuff with the Jackson 5 over his solo work, so I could listen to that. But no promises
