Default Any love for Roisin Murphy's "Overpowered"?

Hands down one of the best dance/pop albums last decade. "Parallel Lives" is sublime.

Any other fans?

I really, really like the title track.
The rest of it is pretty good from what I remember, but that's the one that jumped out at me.

I love it, just bought it recently. "Primitive" is haunting. Great album.

Hmm. I need to look into that. Roisin will always be a diva in my books (in a good way). She makes me think of Annie Lennox, in the way that she handles her dramatic style and persona with maturity; and can really make a million bucks look worth spending.

I enjoyed the album when it came out, but I don't like it as much as Ruby Blue

My staying favorites from Overpowered have been "Let Me Know" and "You Know me Better." The You Know Me Better EP is awesome, too. Pandora and Keep It Loose are great imo.

It disappointed me. Ruby Blue was such an original and fresh approach to pop music.

Overpowered was a poorly written disco album high on bad pot.

I agree with Duraddict about "Ruby Blue"; I always get back to that album from time to time, I love the texture and the way the production was approached. "Overpowered" had strong singles but I very rarely listen to it from start to finish
