I've never found a song I didn't love catchy. It comes down to the word's definition

If you don't like the song then it's not appealing.

So I'm the odd man out in this haha.

And not to bring Linkin Park up again in another thread. But I know you bastards have heard a song by them and thought it was catchy. So by your logic here. That'd mean the song was doing something right. HAHA!

I found it catchy when it first came out and I was a kid, but that's faded. They're still doing it wrong.

You can't tell me that if a song is catchy, it must mean it's good, and then the next hand tell me that those same songs lost their appeal or aren't catchy still. Well, you can, but it doesn't make any sense to me. I'm almost thirty, so not a kid, and still I find some Linkin Park songs catchy, and frankly, rather good too. It's perspective. I don't think they're doing it wrong. Frownland, I just say you're on to music that's just better. Same goes for me on that token.

Well if you still find it catchy then it's good from your perspective. Thinking something is catchy is subjective. My music taste has changed a tiny bit since I was six years old, so I'm not really contradicting myself like you suggest I am.

I didn't mean to say you're contradicting yourself, actually never crossed my mind. And yeah, it is subjective. I've tried making that point a few times. I'm going through a change in my taste right now actually. A lot of folk listening lately.

It's popular to hate on them, when the truth is that they're just not as bad as people make them out to be. It's not complicated music, it's not entirely simple either, there's substance there and there's music they've put out that's good, and I doubt people have heard those songs that have always disliked them.

This is a Ke$ha thread, we're derailing it. Better stop.

I have not been suggesting anything regarding objectivity, that was Batlord being a hyperbolic twat per usual.

Have you tried out freak folk? I find this track...catchy
