Why are there no artists like Mariah Carey, Whitney, Celine Dion these days?

You mean why aren't there more Divas with a great voice? idk, maybe its cause nowadays artist are all about their looks and their hooks not their range.

Good riddance.
All three have a good range and technique, but listening to them jerking around every single syllable in a 'soulish' way is soooo annoying.
I can dig something like that from someone with a genuinely interesting voice, like Diamanda Galas, but the usual shtick is just boring.
