De-Loused is weak in comparison to their more mature albums. Too much ATDI remained in them. Don't get me wrong, it's a great album, it just doesn't in any way compare. Also Teflon is great and Ikey has really outdone himself on the whole album.

EDIT: also my personal preference.

that's true there is such a huge amount of At The Drive In that could have been left out.
However, since I enjoy them somewhat, I still grew close to this album. I definitely agree with Bedlam being one of the highest on there. That album is incredible to say the least.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Bedlam has grown on me a lot since it came out. The debate over what album's best and worst doesn't entirely interest me, though deloused has always been special to me. I'm very interest in this new album though!

Nope! I refuse to download albums that I intend to buy new on release date. It spoils the surprise/experience of receiving the actual package for me. If I wasn't sure I'd buy it, sure I'd download it to try it out. But TMV is one of those bands that I buy sound unheard (for now anyway), so I must wait.

As for best/worst TMV albums, I'd say "Amputechture" is my personal favourite (though to this day I still don't like how they randomly jump from song to song without any kind of transition) and "Octahedron" is probably my least, though they have yet to put out a downright bad album IMO.
They're 5 from 5 which is more than can be said for pretty much any other band ever with a few exceptions.

Alright I keep hearing good things about this band for ages & have actually had 2 albums 'De-Loused In The Comatorium' (2003) & 'Frances The Mute' (2005) for ages but never got round to listening to them yet.
Anyway Im just listening to 'Frances The Mute' for the first time now & Im really enjoying it. I actually had previously expected them to be much heavier than they actually are.
