Gang of Four

Anyone like this band?

I got into them and I'm really enjoying them. They play some pretty funky post-punk, and I'm guessing they were an influence on the Minutemen. Anyway, the album Entertainment is all kinds of awesome.

Yeah you should check them out

I'm listening to them now, they sound cool, it's catchy! With a non-hetero-touch.

Edit: wtf, Gay get's censored? o.0

Could never get into them for some reason. Dunno why I don`t hate them. I just think bands like Wire & A Certain Ratio were much better.

I love Entertainment, At Home Hes A Tourist being the song everyone should check out.

Yeah man. My favorite is probably Damaged Goods, that song rips. I know they formed in the late 70s, are they still together by any chance?

They did some reunion stuff recently, put out a new album too, I think. Surely one of my favorite post-punk groups, they certainly beat A Certain Ratio in my opinion.

I've seem them live, last summer. They were pretty great, and the singer was really drunk, and drinking wine on stage throughout the show (at a small, local festival). During one song, the band played a typical Gang of Four style funky, angular bass/drum/guitar piece, while the singer took a baseball bat and continuously hammered it off a microwave that the band had procured from nowhere on stage. It gave the whole thing a really industrial style sound, and was awesome, especially when the microwave got totally trashed to huge cheers from the crowd, before the band transitioned into Damaged Goods.

Entertainment is amazing. Sold Gold is also money.

A Funk Punk band if there ever was one.

Entertainment! is the cats meow.
