the true wild man behind all of that was Alex Chilton who produced the Cramps first album after releasing "Like Flies on Sherbet" which is as busted, strange, and original a tribute to Rockabilly as there's ever been

however it doesn't supplement southern identity with a contrived (but still rad)ghoulish punk one
