I actually might be willing to defend this one, the (probably very cliched?) idea that with lesbians it's not quite as animal-like as what we know as guys.

In my early 20s I was hanging out with an incredibly cool lesbian who was in her mid 30s, we were both single and drinking at some student pub and I said something like "well looks like there are enough girls here for either of us to find someone to sexually exploit hahahah wink wink nudge nudge" and she very calmly explained that this was not what she was looking for. And as far as I'm concerned she was speaking for all of them. Every single one.
