I love him
![]() ![]() ![]() he's the last pop star that ever really mattered, being that he arose from Punk, the last music movement to matter Kings of the New Frontier totally encapsulates what I love about New Wave, reaching for a future in pop music that didn't really happen "you may not like us now, but you will"

Dirk Wears White Socks and Kings of The New Frontier are great post-punk albums with some extra flair, everything after that is kinda just fun and almost more about the insane videos

You bet I do!
Have you ever heard his pre-Ants band, Bazooka Joe? There’s stuff to know about them, but the most notable is that the Sex Pistols opened for them(!) when the Pistols played their first ever gig. What’s funny is that he left the band after that gig because he got in a big argument with the rest of the band because he loved the Pistols show that night and they thought it was trash. You might know this song because Madness covered it on their first album. Stuart’s on bass. Last edited by rostasi; 12-13-2021 at 06:07 PM. |

yeah I did hear about that and saw a quick interview with the Bazooka Joe guitarist where he says "I thought it was amateur hour, but Adam thought it was inspirational, and I guess that's why he went on to be famous"
pretty funny according to legend, the Sex Pistols showed up with no instruments and asked to use Bazooka Joe's
