Didn't see a thread, but I thought I saw someone post about these guys recently. Since I can't find it:

The Chats are an Australian punk rock band that formed in 2016 in the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. They describe their sound as "shed rock". The current band lineup is composed of guitarist Josh Hardy, drummer Matt Boggis, and bassist and vocalist Eamon Sandwith. Known for their songs about Australian culture, they initially went viral for their song "Smoko" and its accompanying music video in 2017. To date they have released two EPs, The Chats (2016) and Get This in Ya!! (2017), and two studio albums High Risk Behaviour (2020) and Get ****ed (2022).

kinda novelty, but not stupid

they just feel genuine

Yeah I kinda like that they write about every day stuff. Like I genuinely think they wrote "pub feed" when they wanted to eat food at the bar.

you can at least always count on these Aussies now for delivering actual punk records instead of this bull**** metal or emo masquerading as punk

love that The Chats have remained low stakes in their lyrical and musical style too...from songs about bothering someone for bus money, to the price of smokes going up

the last song on the album before the hidden track, "Getting Better", for instance, is basically the UK Subs "Stranglehold" mixed with The Jam
