Honestly, Ja Rule was going to fall off. He got famous for doing backing vocals, and Busta Rhymes' impersonation of him on Hail Mary was the perfect insult, because it was really his career in a nutshell.

I've listened to Eminem since "My Name Is", and actually, the Slim Shady LP might've been the first CD I ever bought. I LOVE Eminem, but he didn't end anyone's career. Beefing is so stupid, Nas killed Jay-Z on "Ether", and Jay-Z is still way more popular, and Nas has kind of fallen off the map since.

If you've never heard it. I'm sure most of you have, but it's actually not bad. One of the few instances where I can tolerate 50 Cent.

Rap battles are not about "whose more popular". Its about how clever and hard they come on the mic and Nas killed him on Ether. Popularity or not he has the street cred which is more important anyway.

Beefing in general is dumb especially if your just trying to pick fights with people. Eminem was at his best with his first two albums and just fell way off lyrically and artistically. Its such a shame because he is so talented.

Nas fell off the map before their beef. It was Ether that revived his career... temporarily.

I think Jay's BP2 diss was actually harder hitting than Ether.. but of course by the time that was released Nas had already won in the eyes of the masses.

I always felt Jeru's Wrath of the Math got super slept on. A lot of critics even said his first album was better which shocked me. Wrath was one of the most socially conscious hip hop albums I've ever heard, and the production was on point with all types of unique and abstract beats. Correct me if im wrong (but go listen to The Frustrated N*gga first).
