Del, because he doesn't hide behind a mask and he isn't changing his name on us all the time.

and Doom still hides behind the mask so he can use his Doomposters... making money without even having to play a show? The true super-villian.

Del does not hide behind a mask, but he does have a few aliases. Such as Sir DzL, Deltron, Del the Funky Homosapien, Del THA FunkEE homosapien. That's about it. Not even half as many as DOOM goes through, for true,

Muahaha indeed. I think it's pretty funny, honestly. It breaks a lot of fans hearts. I went to Rock the Bells 08 in SF and neither DOOM nor DOOMposter showed up. But we were there to see Hiero and Blackalicious and the Wu and Rage.

This one... Mmmmmm....

I think that Del is more creative period. You won't hear the stuff he says coming from anyone else. DOOM on the other hand just has a distinctive voice and a nice flow. Plus Del's producers (Automator or otherwise) are sick, "3030" anyone?

I need to make it clear that I respect that that's how you feel. But... have you even heard Del's new stuff yet? Have you heard his old stuff? Did you hear 3030?

DOOM's newest didn't thrill me. It's gathering dust. I'm a DOOM fan, but in this case, I need to argue for Del. DOOM has a sick flow but I think Del has him beat on creativity and innovation, as well as content.

Yeah, 3030, Both Sides of the Brain, I Wish My Brother George Was Here and No Need For Alarm are the ones I've heard. As far as the beats go, 3030 was good, but it can't hold a flame to Madvillainy. And actually, other than 3030, I feel like the only thing that sets Del apart from the rest is his delivery, but I definitely see where your coming from. Both are fantastic artists.

PS Has Del put out a new album recently?

Del has put out a few mediocre albums over the last two years, Eleventh Hour (2008), Funkman (2009), Automatik Statik (2009), and It Ain't Illegal Yet (2010). So far the only two I've heard have been Eleventh Hour and Funkman and neither of them really wowed me in any way. There were a few decent tracks buried under a mountain of filler ones and it doesn't come within spunking distance of his earlier career stuff. Funkman was a free release and I'm pretty sure Automatik Statik was one too, but don't quote me on that. That said though Doom hasn't really wowed me since The Mouse and the Mask (2006) came out, his stuff was been pretty mediocre when compared to his earlier stuff.

This is true. Funk Man was just plain free. Automatik Statik was name-your-price (so free, if you wanted). It A'int Illegal Yet was for purchase I believe. And he has a new album about to drop at the beginning of '11. I feel like Del went on such a hiatus from his solo works he wasn't sure what to do. So he just made tracks for fun. These beats almost nobody would steal, and Del makes it so biters can't copy his style/flow/words. Get It Right Now from Funk Man is a new concert pleaser, with the backbeat of a car alarm. It's almost like a practice CD. I would say that Del has been releasing 'personal' albums lately to get back in the groove and find his new place.

3030, Second Event will be out in '11 as well. Fairly certain...

DOOM's 2009 album was aight, with Gazillion Ear. That's all I took from that album really.

I'm a bigger fan of Del honestly. Deltron 3030s one album alone is enough for me to dig him more than Doom. I never could get into Doom like everyone else seems to be.

DOOM *is* fairly witty, smooth, and fun to listen to. He makes me crack a lot of smiles.

MF Doom is wack.

Sofa King We Todd Did.........Huh Huh, Wow
I'm f*cking 7 years old
You are missing his logic.
His lyrics destroy.

Examples:

I sell rhymes like dimes
The one who mostly keep cash but brag about the broker times
Better rhymes make for better songs, and that is not
If you got a lot of what it takes just to get along
Surrender now or suffer serious setbacks
Got get-back, connects wet-back, get stacks
Even if you gots to get jet-black, head to toe
To get the dough, battle for bottles of Mo' or 'dro
This rhyme flow take practice like Tae Bo
With Billy Blanks
"Oh, you're too kind!" "Really? Thanks."
To the gone and lost forever like "O My Darling Clementine"
He hold his heart when he tellin' rhymes
When it's his time, I hope his soul go to Heaven
He's nasty like the old time Old Number Seven
You still taste it when you chase it with the Coca-Cola
Make you wish they coulda erased out the Motorola
I told her - no credit for it back
If you want what they got, then go get it, it's all gak
Only in America could you find a way to make a healthy buck

Accordian:
Livin' off borrowed time, the clock tick faster
That'd be the hour they knock the slick blaster
**** Dastardly and Muttley with sick laughter
A gun fight and they come to cut the mixmaster
I-C-E cold, nice to be old
Y2G steed twice to threefold
He sold scrolls, lo and behold
Know who's the illest ever like the greatest story told
Keep your glory, gold and glitter
For have half of his niggaz'll take him out the picture
The other half is rich and don't mean ****-ta
Villain a mixture between both with a twist of liquor
Chase it with more beer, taste it like truth or dare
When he have the mic it's like the place get like: 'Ah yeah!'
It's like they know what's 'bout to happen
Just keep ya eye out, like 'aye, aye captain'
Is he still a fly guy clappin' if nobody ain't hear itAnd can they testify from inner spirit
In living, the true gods
Givin' y'all nothing but the lick like two broads
Got more lyrics than the church got 'Ooh Lords'
And he hold the mic and your attention like two swords
Or even one with two blades on it
Hey you, don't touch the mic like it's AIDS on it
It's like the end to the means
****ed type of message that sends to the fiends
That's why he brings his own needles
And get more cheese than Doritos, Cheetos or Fritos..
Slip like Freudian
Your first and last step to playin' yourself like accordion
(Humming)
When he had the mic you don't go next
Leaving pussy cats like wild hoes need Kotex
Exercise index won't need Boflex
And won't take the one with no skinny legs like Joe Tex

Del is amazing, I really like his work. But he hasn't done nearly as much as DooM has. DooM has so much to say in such a short period of time. Some of his songs aren't the best, I'll admit to that, but he has some of the most classic tracks in my library of music. He is one of a kind, there isn't anyone that throws down like he does.

and just to get another persons insite other than my own on MF DooM's talent:
