For anyone that knows (I'm guessing Deej mainly but everyone answer), I've never listened to Giggs, Krept & Konan etc, basically the UK Hip-Hop Road Rap guys in any depth, I've heard like one or two tracks from each, are they any good (particularly Giggs) and where is best to start?

The only stuff I've heard from Giggs is Talking the Hardest and a few collabs with Wiley, Cas and some others, no solo material.

With Giggs, I would start at Let Em Ave It. Also if you can find two of his mixtapes Take Your Hats Off and The Final Straw.

If Giggs flow doesn't bother you then I think you'll like that album.

Wretch 32 go with Black and White first.

Jay Prince BeFor Our Time, he reminds me a little bit of Kendrick at times.

Hawk House - A Handshake For Your Brain I really like their production, they use some jazz and give off a ATCQ feeling.

Gerald Jacobs The Loudest Quiet is another good one to check out.

Sneakbo is more on the road rap tip but he doesn't have any mixtapes or albums out yet. Just singles.

Let me know what you think of the recs.

Default Recommendations

Hello! I was wondering if someone could help me out with finding songs thats similar to "Reef the Lost Cauze - Coltrane, ft. State Store". Heavy rythm, nice flow, awesome beat.

I also really liked "Smoke Dza, Pete Rock, BJ The Chicago Kid, Jadakiss, Style P - Milestone".

If someone could recommend similar raps, I would be very happy to hear them!

Thanks. Should be able to find these.

I don't mind his flow, every time I've heard him he's killed it. On the Nutcracker tune he was better than Dizzee.

Oh yeah I know Wretch as he was with Ghetts and Scorcher loads back in the day. His actual solo material I haven't heard much though, just Punctuation I think.

Only heard of Sneakbo not the others, I'll post again with my opinions. I have high hopes for the Giggs album.

Cheers Deej

For those who are curious and love alternative rap, Odezenne is a very interesting french duo.
