I saw this thread, and I came to post Binary Star - Masters of the Universe, because for me it's the best hip-hop album i've ever heard. And because I thought it would be slept on.

I'm content to find that the very first post was praising Binary Star!

I really can't nail down one singular album as a favorite, but OneBeLo's S.O.N.O.G.R.A.M. and Masters of the Universe would both get serious consideration.

Masters of the Universe without a doubt belongs in this thread. It is a perfect hip hop album. It is definitely in contention for my favorite album of all time.

Madvillainy is one of my favourites, as is Fear of a Black Planet and The Low End Theory. Mostly obvious choices, but hey! I haven't stopped listening to Madvillainy since it came out many years ago.
