Alright, Lauryn's been moved over by MF and can now return to squeezing out more little Marley's and dodging more taxes.

Up next we have what I have creatively dubbed 'Battle of the bitches'

Foxy Brown: The original bad girl of rap, Foxy Brown's promising career has been constantly hampered by her tendencies to get arrested.
Her first solo album after underground hype, Ill Na Na went platinum (coz I know how much you guys value record sales) leading to her joining forces with the likes of my boy Nas & AZ as the group known as 'The Firm'
In 2001 she went through a slight altercation as she choose to become more 'street' and represent Brooklyn, following a change in hip-hop trends at the time.

Jean Grae: Born in South Africa to jazz musicians, Jean Grae was a prominent figure on the much touted NY underground hip-hop scene.
Starting from 2002, Grae realised a tirade of material including 7 studio albums and has collaborated with numerous big names in hip-hop from The Roots to Mos Def.
Oh yeah, and you can buy her 'creative services' for $800 per 16 bars on Craigslist.

Here's a video from each artist.

Haha, perhaps it was a way of showing bias.
I'm definitely way more into Jean Grae. She's a legit underground talent, Foxy's always screamed gimmick to me.

Yeah they were both dope as ****. Haven't heard either of them before now,
so on first impressions (based on the flow and the beat) Foxy blew me away.

I've never really listened to much Foxy Brown as a solo artist, but she's had some really good guest spots with the likes of Nas and Talib.

She's got the best verse on this track.

There's something about female MC's that when they rhyme well, I can really get behind.

But then again, Jean Grae lent her voice to this track, and although she doesn't really spit a verse, it's one of my favourite tracks of all time, so I'm biased towards her as a result.

Not feeling either one as an MC. Foxy gets my vote because I always thought she was pretty hot.

FOXY 2
