I guess it depends on which you think is more annoying: pseudo-abstract poetry and music journalism, or phone calls?

I hated the Tupac **** too but the instrumentals on TPAB are brilliant. GKMC makes meh into an art form (as long as we forget about Radiohead).

To me, TPAB felt more like a journey, and less like a hip hop album of sorts. The songwriting alone is fantastic.

It has decent hooks but it just does not do anything for me besides for reminding me of just how bland music can be.

I'm not just writing it off either. I tried to get into it several times after I first got into TPAB.

GKMC is great I agree Q-Man.

As far as being bland, I feel like that with most of the stuff on TPAB, These Walls & I are the best tracks but he should have put the original I on it. Everything else is either boring or just shit.

How do you feel about jazz/jazzy hip hop in general?

It's OK. I like some stuff from ATCQ, Pete Rock & CL Smooth and probably others I can't remember right now. Maybe The Roots too if they're in that category.

Don't think I've listened to much Jazz on it's own though.

The heavy jazz element is really what sold TPAB for me, which is why I asked.
