Their first EP was good. Everything after got progressively more and more boring.

a nice blend of ska, punk, jazz, funk and metal.
They were great in the eighties. I am not much a fan of their later records, though I quite like their live recordings among which the live at the temple bar :

I remember the guy who introduced me to Fishbone and this is basically how he explained their claim to fame. He came out with a lot of stories though. But I have heard this also is what I'm getting at. So maybe it's true.
