Bob Marley is the father of reggae music as we know it today. There are alot of others that make some pretty good music now. Alot of the newer reggae has a reggaeton feel to it. You gotta love bob though. Mr. brown is my personal favorite. The first time i ever did x, i wasnt sure it was going to work for like an hour, then i got in my buddies truck to smoke and he told me i had to listen to a song. He put Mr. Brown on and as soon as that intro kicked in so did the x. so if your trippin, play mr. brown by bob marley and hang on.

And there lies the problem. I think you should check out the Reggae Intro's thread and listen to more before coming to a conclusion. I'm not a Bob Marley hater; In fact, to tell the truth, I quite like some of his stuff. But there are many other names worth checking out as well, who have put out equally good music (if not better). This isn't a Bob Marley rant post. Just trying to broaden your horizons a bit. Who knows, you might end up liking some of those stuff .
