Question Skacore!

Anyone familar with this term? I consider bands like the Dance Hall Crashers, old Mighty Mighty Bosstones and even Fishbone to a point to be in this category. I also forgot The Suicide Machines too.
I was so psyched to see the Bosstones and Fishbone on the '96 Warptour.
The Dance Hall Crashers were okay too. I'm not a big fan of Fishbone or Dance Hall Crashers, but I want to know what albums are worth getting by these bands. I didn't like the newer Bosstones material that much. I love the ska mixed in with the punk. I want bands that mix both well.
I've heard of Less Than Jake, I know there are some others, but I can't think of them right now.

Is 'skacore' just another term for ska-punk (as in hardcore punk)?

Im Pretty Sure the term arose directly from The Mighty Mighty Bosstones , and was before bands got labeled as ska punk ,

^thats harsh. Skacore is also hardcore ska and besides being hilarious (screams and ska riffs) its not too bad. A Billion Ernies is really good, and some Folly could be considered skacore.

Lol I agree with that definition... I play in a so called "skacore" band in Geneva Switzerland. Check our website and tell me your opinion (including: This is no music!). There's 2 mp3's.
sorry no eng version yet
