seriously though, i think metallica made much better music, as i was listening to an iron maiden song yesterday on the telly, i figured out what bothers me the most, it's the guys singing with the quivering voice, it's so geezer-ish....

I had to vote for Metallica, even though Iron Maiden's "Killer" was one of the first vinyls I ever bought. *ahh.. memories....*

I dunno, they're both awesom groups and it's tough trying to decide which one is "better" but in the end I chose Metallica simply coz I still listen to them a lot compared with Iron Maiden.

absolutely Maiden without a doubt. Old Metallica is great...especially WITH Dave Mustaine. But nothing new. Blech.
Of course, that's just my opinion.

Hmmm...that wouldnt be the trooper by any chance would it? My second best Maiden song, after fear of the dark. Fantastic song, its pure art the way both guitars do their job with such perfect timing and accuracy.

Maiden all the way for me. Hell, I even like their slower songs, Journeyman for instance is nothing like power metal, but still holds the quality you expect from Maiden. Maiden, they invented their own music, they went against the wind and showed true personality and dedication towards music. For that I respect them to the bottom of my heart.
