Metallica (The New Order of Metal)
Opeth (Thinking Man's Metal)
Pantera (Angry SOBs)
Anthrax (Metal except for Bring the Noise)
Megadeth ( Metals Angry Step Child)

Kind of a generic list but these really are my favs and I own multiple CDs by each of them. All Maiden, Fates, Manowar, Metallica.

You know I had trouble taking his posts seriously before because of the ignorance they showed but now looking at his taste everything he's posted is now laughable.

Not one of those bands are nu metal.

Although I don't really know what you mean by that, every one of those bands are well established musicians that have each been around for at least the last 10 years. The youngest band here is Godsmack, which is 12 years old.
