I admit that not everything is gold with this band. I discovered them after hearing Welcome Home in the Rock Band video game.

I'm lukewarm to their first three albums. There are some excellent songs, but not everything hooks me in.

I find they're getting better by the album. I find that the albums from Year Of The Black Rainbow to Unheavenly Creatures are solid, some even great. Unheavenly is still in rotation in my car.

I know Claudio's voice isn't everyone's cup of tea.

The sequel they wrote to the classic song Jessie's Girl is catchy. It's not on any album, but definitely worth checking out.

For sure! I love that song. I have the album too. I was just saying that people I know who aren't into the band don't like them because of Claudio's voice.

The Gutter is my favourite song.

I've seen them live only once. They played my town, though it was a half hour festival set. I hope to get tickets to a show on the upcoming tour. I can't wait to hear Vaxis II!

I'll try the Gutter tonight. Looking forward to it.

I'm slowly noticing how many bands out there have branched out from where they started. Coheed, Mastadon, Tool...I'd love to find more stuff like this.

This was great. Thanks for the rec. My favorite track off of the new album. That video says it came out a year ago, but the new album was released last month or so? I assume it's a single? Anyway, such a great chorus.

And I came across The Pavilion A Long Way Back which was also really great.

Shoulders was a single released long before the album came out. I'm playing Vaxis II a LOT. I try hard to resist the urge to put Beautiful Losers on repeat.

Enjoy.

Vaxis II is in tough competition with Ghost's Impera as my favourite album of 2022. Once Muse release their next one in a few weeks, it could become a three horse race.
