metallica have been around for years, they need to stop thats what should happen.

and im assuming your referring to greenday "selling out". Punk bands selling out has been around since the genre started thats nothing new, not like green days earlier stuff was that great imo.

I think most commercial bands are stupid, just like it has been for a long time. Look at the 80's.

When I am talking about "today's music" (at least) I am refering to the music that is popular these days. Porcupine Tree is not mainstream and yes they are quite good.

If you dont like whats happening to mainstream music...quit listening to it. Go out and find bands that are specific to your likings..and not everyones. Billboard music is shit.
