Default NIN aren't very good on the whole

The entirety of their discography considered, that is. Overall, a big lot of lameness with a few needle gems hidden in the giant haystack.

Discuss.

I stick NIN under the same banner I stick Tool under.

Do not understand the fuss about.

Tool has had many more gems than NIN ever and will ever have.

They're alright. I use to be big into them, I guess I grew up... I liked Wish, it's hard. Head Like A Hole is just classic! Closer is just great to get it on to! Then that one off With Teeth was alright, I don't remember the title of it. But I dug it. He did a great job producing Rob Halford's Album Two - Voyeurs. I loved that album!

downward spiral by NIN is alone a master piece. I think their pretty bad ass, and deserve their prestige. but i admit some of their stuff has faded a little, none the less i think Trent is awesome, he did **** no one ever had before

fixed.

NIN is good. definitely not the best out there. but for what's worth they're pretty good. Their latest album With teeth is one of their best. As for individual songs, Closer is still their best ever.

Fixed? FIXED?

What the hell kind of fix is that? Thats like having a perfectly decent chair, sawing off one of it's legs, and calling it better.

I have no real opinion about them, I generally find them less exciting than flat Coke.

Werd.
However, i can see the technical skill that Tool posesses. Just can't see why people like them so much.

Tool is a curious taste. Some people's minds just identify with what they're doing in the music (in particular, the method of gradually building energy in a song up to a peak, and the continuously delayed, though ultimately satisfying release in the ensuing climax...Jesus Christ, sounds like I'm describing something else here...). Some identify with it. To others it's just meaningless, superfluous and boring. That'll be the main factor in separating the Tool fanbwoi from the hata.
