Surf Rock is a major area left out of this list. Dick Dale's "Miserlou" and a ton of Beach Boys songs are what I would argue are surf rock.

So you would say you can put Metal in the all-encompassing Progressive genre as far end Rock umbrella terms?

Why. Why did King crimson and Jethro Tull have to hide from me for so long.
Also, Zappa will be joining my collection in a few months.

And is progressive/technical metal any good? Must research.
