You don't see how it follows? Two new elements in a established band may well lead to something we are not expecting. at least it is a glimmer of hope in the barren land that is Metallicas discography post 1987.

Aren't they kinda old? :P

Guess that doesn't really matter, but I have very little interest in Metallica anyway.

Bands generally tend to switch to "money as main priority" only when they've run creatively dry. At that point there's nothing left to do except make money. Hence the band's last 20 years.

There ya go. Glad to see more positive feedback. Of course, I agree with St. Anger not being the best, But honestly, wasn't that bad. It was just different, unlike the 80's and 90's Metallica everyone was used to. Hopefully, this new album will bring back the "old" Metallica and ride the lightning. Hahaha, then there will be justice for all. Ha.

I'm hoping they'll follow Machine Head and Iron Maiden and release something with a progressive bent. Old dogs can learn new tricks

Iron Maiden have always had an underlying Prog sound going on.
