Dude ledzepstu....WHAT ARE YOU TALKING BOUT, most of the metal bands from the 80's are the most talented ever. Theres nothing better than a guitar player or bass player or drummer and vocals then the 80's, That era was the best for metal!!!

the 80's bands are only around because of the likes of sabbath and zep. slash, fair enough, the best ever. but some bands such as motley crue (tommy lee is also a class act), spinal tap and def leppard are bonified s***. if u want your bon jovi- esque, cheesy "anthems" then fair enuf, but personally i prefer the 70's and new alternative stuff

Okay then every one is entitled to there opinion ,i happen to like the 80's era because it was a fun time for music i also like the 70's too.This is just a fun thread so go with it!

Motley Crue
Kiss (i know they're 70's too but they still go in my list)
Guns n Roses
LA Guns
Poison
Cold Chisel (Aussie band)

Over all, yeah the musicians were far better in the 80's, not hot on the vox though, lyrically speaking.
