That would be cool! I'd like to hear it at least and go from there - I happen to be quite partial to their older stuff, but I dunno, sometimes hearing a band rehash a sound from 20 years ago gets a bit much.... nevertheless it might be a catalyst for me to go out and buy some of their older albums, ya know? If that makes sense... I am kinda tired and half drunk tonight, so I am finding myself wondering if my posts make much sense...

....but I digress...

I'd love to receive a link!

I just found my "Garage Inc." CD...so as soon as I finish/get tired of re-listening to "Death Magnetic" for the...second time ever, I'm going to get my Breadfan on.

Though a step in the right direction, its replay value is quite low IMO.

Well, no offence intended to anyone, but being a complete metallica outsider, I actually quite enjoyed Death Magnetic... I do think at times that the vocals seem kinda forced, as if hetfeild is trying to sound angry but he really can only go 9 tenths of the way, becuase the fire in the gut isn't quite all there...

But I love the way the music generally twists and turns and the drumming sounds full, aggressive and mind bending, the guitar work is ace, too.

Where's the "I'd rather tie a noose" option?

I was wondering the same thing, I will say this about Death Magnetic thought, it was marginally better then Chinese Democracy.

I think it's pretty god but they're never gonna be as good as they're first couple of albums

Hey, I really have enjoyed Death Magnetic, though I am definitely not a Metallica die hard... it just sounds like they sweated over song structure, and are genuinely interested in making a challenging album...which is more than can be said for their Load and Reload era...
