He shouldn't have done that at any show he attended.
People pay good money to go see GNR, only to have the d!ckhead frontman leave in the middle of the show?
I don't think so.

And I hardly think his signature "slither" that he did on stage makes him entertaining.
By the way, he left during shows way more often than you think.

And John Lennon hit women, everyone is a prick in their own right, and no you don't have to be on your high horse to hate him, but you have to be on it to hate him so publically that everyone must know you think they are a band with no redeeming qualities.

I mean, it cries out "look at me, im so willfully preverse and artsy and unique, I hate all the bands that the "unwashed masses" love.

Or on the other hand it could mean I saw this band when they were one of my favourite bands and left the gig wishing I had bought tickets to see Metallica , Megadeth & Diamond Head play the same venue the following week because they played so badly fronted by a guy who looked like he really couldn`t be bothered with this gig at all.

The first time I saw Radiohead it left me with something I will never ever forget. Guns N Roses could made the same impression on me but were so poor they made me wonder why i`d spent money travelling 200 miles to go see them.
Which is not something you expect to feel when seeing 'one of the worlds greatest frontmen'

I never got to see the original line up, which has always been a downer for me. There are times when I see/read about the current line up and can't help thinking "Axl and his hired hands".

Not the right, or fair, thing to be thinking, but I found myself not being that stressed about not seeing them when they played in London back in July.

Think he's one of those weird but very talented individuals that the world will never understand and a great shame that GnR went the way it did years ago.

You know, I think im the only person who likes where GnR went. I thought the Illusions had some good tracks and alot of potential, but there was an amazing amount of **** on there.

Always thought that Illusions should've been one record, not two - like you say, some "average at best" to wade through to get to the really good tracks. Wasn't there a Best Of Illusions release not long afterwards though? Saw something like that one or twice, but not in the shops and wasn't sure if it was some moody compilation that was being banded about...

that must've been the one here in Minneapolis years ago, perhaps? Didn't go but definitely heard about it.

There was a best of Illusions CD, but I think it was only an international release. At least the one I have was.
I was a big fan. Even though these day I'm primarily a jazz drummer, I used to rock with the best of them back in the late 80's-early90's. I was living in LA for a short time when they started playing clubs. They had a good local fan base, but a lot of people didn't like them. Thought they were to scruffy, at a time when the glitzy hair band thing was so big. I was at a lot of their shows. They were one of the tightest bands on LA at that time. Then they got signed and the rest was history.
