None of those are fashions, all of them are genres of music except indie which is a record label status.

Indie isn't a record label status, it never was, it was always a sound, generally a crap one. Most popular indie bands are signed to major labels but are called indie because indie fans sux at life.

Indie = being on an independent label. Just because a bunch of trendy starbuck goers decided Death Cab for Cutie are indie because of their singer wears trendy glasses doesn't change the fact they're on a major label.
