My favourite was definitely Cliff Burton too. Metallica went slowy down-hill after he died.

Cliff, definitely. I don't think they went downhill after losing him though. "...And Justice For All" is one of my favourite albums.

Well Burton obviously. But Newsted and Trujillo are also good bassists.

Trujillo's work in Infectious Grooves was f*cking great. And Newsted was good in Flotsam & Jetsam.
