Too commercial. They care too much about the money. They earn money with one particular kind of song and stick to that. I don't think that's good in a band. So I never bothered getting into them. Though sometimes it's hard getting around them. xD

I used to love Linkin Park when they first came out.
I guess they got kinda old with their Meteroa album which was full of songs that sucked. That was the last straw for me.
The first one being all the cancelled shows because Chester was in a perpetual state of ailment.

Their best song ever is probably Points of Authority. Now that I'm older I realize that doesn't say much about them considering it isn't something worth writing home about.
Although Crawling and One Step Closer were pretty good. As well as Paper Cut

One word. Mainstream. I personally like them but alot of people don't like bands that are too mainstream, once a band is too mainstream all the kids start lusting over them and picking favourites like you have all just done. If Linkin Park weren't as popular and maybe still together then people wouldn't diss them so much.

Um. No. How about sub-par musicianship? If they make good music then people will recognize them for that. If they make mediocore crap then people will catch them on that too.

They're over-rated
did an album with a raper
their more about vocals than any good instrumentals

^ plus, used properly, the voice is an instrument, just as much as a guitar.
