hello (hardcore, metal, rock, doors, Nirvana)

hello i am new and im just saying hi, but why is the metal and rock forum mixed ? i don't want to have to skim around ****ty topics about nirvana and 3 doors down **** them. Anyways i like metal and hardcore, i've been listening to from a second story window, black dahilia murder and dead to fall nonstop lately and that's about it

does anyone actually go to the introduction part ? yeh probably not, but as you can see i discussed some metal bands and im taking a chance here but isn't this the metal forum ?
