Their S/T is my favorite because it's raw and varied. SFTD is my 2nd favorite, but it can't sustain the momentum of track 4, probably the greatest prog/metal jam ever. For what it's worth, Kyuss' Blues for the Red Sun and Welcome to Sky Valley were better albums.

I saw these guys with NIN last year and boy was it boring. All of the riffs sound alike. jajajajajajajaja!!! I can't seem to understand why they are so popular.

So, anyone had a chance to listen to the new album and gather some thoughts? I think it's definitely weaker than LTP and SFTT, it seems more droning...standout tracks are 3's and 7's and Sick Sick Sick...

Better than Lullabies! I fink not! I dare you to find a single that's as catchy as Little sister on EV...

I think Era Vulgaris is their best yet, I'd take it over Lullabies easily.

I like them a lot, as well as Kyuss, and the Desert Sessions CDs are awesome too, all worth checking out if you like that stoner rock sound. I'm not sure how I feel about the new QOTSA single, "Sick Sick Sick" though - It's getting heavy play on Sirius though which is nice.
