Brutal Truth's riffs > all those other bands' riffs

The drumming redefines the term "nuclear drums." How does the drummer walk after that?

Been trying to get into black metal, right now I've just been listening to Burzum, Mayhem, Darkthrone, and Bathory's first album a lot

Darkthrone are great, "A Blaze in the Northern Sky" is easily one of my favorite metal albums.

Immortal have a few albums I really love as well. Especially this one:

I think I might like Jouhou more than The Inalienable Dreamless. It's not as complex and bat****, but I think it's more brutal and straightforward. It also helps that the production isn't as dry.

And their vocalist is still an absolute monster. God I love grindcore.

Discordance Axis ****ing rips. Jouhou and Dreamless are about the same for me. Jon Chang kills it vocal-wise
