Sticky fingers was my first I sat down and really went through, but really.. start from the beginning because you need to start at the roots, which in this case are blonde. ^ Alternatively, you could take a shortcut through the early years and get the compilation album, Big Hits: High Tide and Green Grass. That album has all the early singles on it.

Maybe to whet ones appetite, but as a Stones fan I would recommend going through their early albums.

Here's a rather forgotten album of instrumental harmonica rock. I don't know how much attention it received outside the UK, but in Britain it spawned a one-hit-wonder single that did surprisingly well. Surprising, because without a vocalist, and with a very anonymous album cover, this release rather lacked that kind of human interest that even the worst frontman in the world can generate. The result is quite a solid album that, afaik, was destined - or designed - to be considered of the second rank.

Not so much a recommendation because I only heard of them 10 mins ago. So this is more of a "What are you listening to right now ?", but we don't have a thread of that for old rock, do we?
Anyway: Count Five (Canadian band) had a hit with Psychotic Reaction - way back in 1966, but it still packs a punch:-
