I remember Dokken as being one of the (more) cool underground/less popular bands during that era along with a few other different bands like Krokus. These days it sounds so.."funny" and corny is one of the best ways I would describe it. George Lynch, Ive yet to hear anything by the Lynch Mob. I'm sure it sounds outdated as well. Our Love by Krokus is/was a favorite from the 80s. Haven't heard them in years. These two are like Power Ballads?

Actually I agree. Funny as it sounds I remember thinking they were among the few cool hair bands. Like, up there with Motley Crue, W.A.S.P., Twisted Sister, and 80s Ozzy.

Twisted Sister, I always seen them as one of the first popular bands on MTV like Quiet Riot that had just a couple of popular songs and videos during that time. And I think they're both really overrated these days. They were never anything like that back then, just..so..so.

Why all the hype now?

Twisted Sister and Quiet Riot are pioneers within their own right though, I admit.

Motley Crue vindicated themselves with Dr. Feelgood. Slave To The Grind by Skid Row is still kinda cool.

I think Ozzy carried the best music through the 80s and 90s.

Blegh. Now, I love, love, love me some Motley Crue. Their first two albums are stone cold classics, and there material since New Tattoo has been surprisingly good, but Dr. Feelgood is totally overrated. Half the songs are cool ("Dr Feelgod", "Kickstart My Heart", "Same Ol' Situation", "She Goes Down", and "Don't Go Away Mad"), but the other half are either just decent ("Slice of Your Pie", "Sticky Sweet", "Rattlesnake Shake"), or just downright forgettable ("Without You" and "Time for Change"). Then, we have Bob Rock's ****ty, sanitized production that just takes most of the balls out of the music. If you want sleazy, cheesy arena metal, Skid Row do it so much better.
