Glad you liked the second track anyway...
I just didnt like the vocalist's voice much. The vocals are probably the most important thing to me in music, so even the slightest flaw in a vocalist's voice can ruin the entire band's music altogether, in my opinion.

Okay, but what about Jon Anderson? I'm just wondering, because their voices are so almost identical...

Seriously? What age are you? I mean, no offence but I think anyone who knows music is at least aware of Jon Anderson! It's like saying who is Bob Dylan or Bruce Springsteen or Kurt Cobain: these are names that are just legendary in music, whether you listen to/have heard them or not.

Here's what I consider to be Jon Anderson's finest hour...

I don't want to take Whiskey's side but I have to confess I've never heard of him either. I'm not that young. Its possible he's just too far from my taste in music/out of the mainstream for me to know, but I just wanted to say that it seems perfectly possible that someone who "knows music" does not know him.

I mean, I'm not an expert in any genre really but I've been building my music collection for half of my life (perhaps it is not so big at 21,000 songs) and I promise I have not once come across his name.

!!

Who is this mystery man? *watches the vid*

Ok, I listened to the track, felt even more in the dark (sounds a bit like an earlier, younger, boy-choir Sting??). I checked out the Wikipedia to investigate.

IT TURNS out the guy is English, well here's one of the first issues. Americans are generally ignorant about music from the UK, and if there's no top 40 hit that stays on the chart for 6 or more weeks the band tends to fall by the wayside. The highest position he got in the US was 17, by the way, which in and of itself makes me feel like he was just not that popular there (where I grew up).

The second issue is that his last hit was in 1986, which is some years before I was born. Sooooo unless my mom loved this guy (as she so loved U2, Sting, Led Zeppelin, etc), chances are I would just never have come across him.

I have heard of Yes, but I couldn't recall any specific song. Sorry TH! Thanks for the enlightenment, but not my taste.

Since you asked, Im 20 years old. I sure have heard the name in the past but never heard the music he's involved in. That song you posted was very good though, from which album is it?
