1. EDM isn't one distict subgenre of electronic music
2. Though EDM may have had an impact on rock music, it isn't rock music

Asian Polka is definitely hurting rock and roll.

I'd say something like no other than succesful tacky rock bands have done so... but I'd rather not mention them... fortunately, there's supreme music going on anyway: glorious new bands worth discovering that are not well-known!

Post grunge cause it made Nu metal sound good.

Im not really that familiar with either genre but i do remember liking Korn and SOAD over bands like Nickelback and Creed. Nu metal sounded more refreshing and energetic and personally i couldn't draw any reference to it. it sounded like something nu.

I vaguely remember you labeling SOAD as "nu metal" in another thread, but I think I forgot to respond to you. SOAD is 100% not nu metal.

The term 'nu metal' is notoriously vague and doesn't necessarily incorporate rapping.

Yeah I just remembered the bands that don't have rapping and edited that part out. I call them alternative metal with avant-garde metal tendencies.

And i call it Nu metal cause it's shorter.

Also cause i hear alot of Nu metal elements in their music and they do they rap in some of their songs. when i hear alternative Metal i think about Incubus more than SOAD.
